Lawrence ("LB") Bernard Switzer (born in Duff SK) died peacefully on Sat. Nov. 18, 2023 at the age of 101. He had a wonderful life with Bette and their three children: Trevor, Robert, and Patti. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren provided him with much joy. The saying ‘a life well lived’ applied in the truest sense. He enjoyed farming with his family for 68 years and his career at Farm Credit. Curling, baseball, and golf were favourite hobbies, but all who knew him well knew of his love for the game of bridge.
Lawrence was a most grateful, generous, and kind-hearted individual and lived a life of service; helping the CNIB, Lions, and Sunset United Church (to name a few). His family knew him as a man of integrity and an inspirational role model. The world will not be the same in his absence.
No service by request, and no flowers are required in Lawrence’s memory.
